ALRO – Urban Rebel PR Interview

Holding an innate prowess for melodic techno, ALRO, otherwise known as Alberto Zanella, is a dynamic DJ and producer. His enchanting sound has earned slots at world-class festivals Electric Daisy Carnival and Beyond Wonderland México featuring alongside huge names such as ARTBAT, John Summit, Eli Brown Mathame and more. Meanwhile, his hypnotic, dancefloor-ready productions have landed signings with the likes of EMPO/+Mas Label and Reload Records

We put UR 10 questions to ALRO and here’s how it went down.

1. As a DJ, how would you describe your sound/energy behind the decks?

Captivating, deep & powerful melodies, transmitting my passion and musical knowledge to the crowd, and giving my sets a modern direction that results in interesting and energetic vibes. 

 2. Is there one song/album or artist from your teenage years which stands out?

Swedish House Mafia – Don’t You Worry Child, Metallica – Dead Magnetic, or Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike – Mammoth. 

 3. Outside of music, what other passions do you have/ how do you enjoy spending your time?

Movies and series (Star Wars, Alien, GOT), walking long distances, visiting new places and playing video games. Call of Duty Warzone, and Grand Theft Auto are some of go-to’s. 

4.What’s on your bucket list as an artist?

Short to medium term, I want to keep creating the highest quality tracks I can. In the long term, in about 2-5 years I’d like to be recognized with millions of fans around the world,  headlining and playing my music at raves, clubs, and festivals, and studio creations across the globe.

 5. Who would be your dream guests to join you on a one-off podcast special?

David Guetta, for sure, he’s a state-of-the-art artist. MRAK who is an outstanding and authentic musician, an 8KAYS, and a technical master of production.  

6. What’s your best motivational tip for getting things done?

Be fully organized, totally informed, and strict on accomplishment deadlines. Whatever the set time is that I’m on at a venue, I arrive at least 2-3 hours prior to my show, and very importantly I’m relaxed so I’m not rushing. 

 7. What is the best DJ set you’ve seen this year/ever and why was it so memorable?

2023 at CDMX Afterlife, Tale Of Us’ set had high-level vibes, amazing IDs and releases, and great track transitions. 

8. Which two artists would you most love to witness collaborate on a song?

I’d have to say MRAK & ANYMA, both are legends. 

9. It’s the last party on earth; the crowd are shouting, “One more tune”. What track do you play as your encore finale? 

Definitely “The World Is Yours – MRAK”. 

10. Finally, what are you most looking forward to in 2025?

Taking part in exciting festivals and club shows in Mexico, and tours across Spain, Italy and Central/South America.
