Producing since 2007 with their unique brand of off-kilter progressive-electro, Bassjackers are a duo that has continued to propel forward in recent years. Marlon Flohr and Ralph Van Hilst; two friends, one producer and one DJ with a passion for house music, decided to combine their talents for a stream of releases, resulting in support from top global DJs such as Fedde Le Grand. Fast-forward to 2011 and Bassjackers big break came in the form of dance floor bomb ‘Mush Mush’, gaining the attention of Tiësto and receiving an official release on his Musical Freedom label, dominating the Beatport Top 10 for over 2 months and rising to prominence as one of the biggest club tracks of the year.
A plethora of releases followed including 2013’s huge ‘Crackin’ with teenage sensation Martin Garrix and the explosive ‘Grid’ with Dyro, not to mention their resounding successes that continue to reign over the charts, as the boys have gained an impressive 5 Beatport Top 10’s this year alone, also setting the foundations for a unity that would transpire out of the studio and onto the road.
Playing every major dance event and festival including TomorrowWorld in Atlanta on the ever-fun Super You & Me stage, headline sets as far-reaching as Singapore and Ibiza, show how their music transcends across the world, with their latest bus adventure set to be their most hotly-anticipated tour yet. Setting off around North America with friend, musical peer and collaborator Dyro, the Bassjackers co-headlined ‘X Tour’ sees the two acts go B2B live, across twenty-six dates over six weeks, ensuring a crazy extravaganza of parties hits the States across the board. As Bassjackers say themselves “Let’s get weird!”
