Sandstorm Run

The Sandstorm Run is a unique running and music event created around Darude’s iconic global anthem, ‘Sandstorm’.

Taking place in Helsinki, Finland, the event invites fans from around the world to walk, jog or run a 7km route through the city, passing locations featured in the original ‘Sandstorm’ music video, including Kaivopuisto and Helsinki Cathedral.

More than a traditional run, the Sandstorm Run brings together music, sport and fan culture, with participants embracing the spirit of the track through costumes, red gilets and the famous silver briefcases before crossing the finish line into an open-air celebration headlined by Darude.

What began as a celebration of one of electronic music’s most recognisable records has developed into an international gathering, attracting runners and Darude fans from across Europe, the US and beyond.
