TRESOR – Urban Rebel PR Interview

We sat down with South Africa based singer, songwriter and producer TRESOR. The multi-talented artist gives us exclusive insight in to the life and times of TRESOR, breaking down early influences to bucket list goals. Tuck in!

  1. As an artist, how would you describe your sound in the booth?

I make African pop and fusion, mixing sounds from the rich sonic landscape of our beautiful continent Africa.

  1. Is there one song/album or artist from your teenage years which stands out?

I loooved ‘In The Air’ by Phill Collins and Seal’s ‘Kiss From A Rose’.

  1. Outside of music, what other passions do you have/ how do you enjoy spending your time?

Besides music, I am passionate about architecture, design, as well as beverage making. I am currently working on a few projects in these avenues which I am really passionate about.

  1. What’s on your bucket list as an artist?

Taking African music to all corners of the world.

  1. Who would be your dream guests to join you on a one-off podcast special?

 I would say Daft Punk.

  1. What’s your best motivational tip for getting things done?

Live life everyday the best way possible. Everyone is really figuring out this life as we go. Put your best foot forward everyday.

  1. What is the best live music performance you’ve seen this/last year and why was it so memorable?

Black Coffee in Ibiza last year was phenomenal. The mood was incredible also his DJ’ing skills are out of this world.

  1. Which two artists would you most love to witness collaborate on a song?

 TRESOR & Daft Punk.

I look forward to releasing more music and playing the music live around the world meeting  new people and experiencing new cultures
